The Company
Thai Fishing is owned and run by Meik and Tik. Meik is Danish, born in 1971 in Jutland’s Lake & River District. Fishing has been his passion since he started walking. He enjoys all kinds of sport fishing but prefers fly fishing for wild fish to get a natural experience. Tik, his Thai wife, manages the office when Meik is out fishing.
In 1999, Meik visited Thailand and worked as a deckhand/guide for many top Big Game Fishing and freshwater fishing companies in Phuket. He lost his heart to the jungle lakes and rivers in southern Thailand on his first trip to this amazing place. In his expert opinion, the southern jungles offer the ultimate wild freshwater fishing locations in Thailand. When not at home, you will probably find him on the banks of the jungle rivers with a fly rod in his hands, hunting the Mahseer. He was among the first to discover this fantastic and challenging fly fishing in these jungle waters and has since become addicted to fly fishing for different jungle fish species.

They know where to go for the optimal fishing experience and about the incredible wildlife and plants. They do not speak fluent English, but clear and simple communication usually prevents problems.
